Training Courses

PRE-FIGHT TRAINING
Pre-Fight Training courses emphasize how to escape criminal attacks, as opposed to “fighting it out” with an attacker. Each course has a brief verbal introduction and proceeds directly to role-playing scenarios that allow people to maintain control in gradual manageable stages.

ESCAPING BEFORE CONTACT
EBC-200

EBC emphasizes controlling the pre-contact phase and presents how to respond before it turns physical.

ESCAPING UNARMED ATTACKS
EPA-200

EUA presents how to use a pen or pointed object to keep an attacker off you and create a point of escape.

ESCAPING ARMED ATTACKS
EAA-200

EAA presents how to use a pen or pointed object to protect yourself and escape from a knife attack.

 ESCAPING BY ATTACKING
EBA-200

EBA presents how to set up and execute a first strike for times when you need to hit an aggressor first.

FIGHT TRAINING
AMOK! delivers a single set of blade-based actions to fight with, and against, every hand-held weapon or with empty hands where the ideal of “one mind, all weapons” becomes real. Consequently, knife is the ideal and logical starting point for all combative training because if you learn knife tactics first, every other weapon becomes a simple matter of handling skills; what you won’t have to do is learn different tactics to fight with or against different weapons.

KNIFE – CORE SKILLS
knife-core
The nucleus of all combat, core knife skills offer immediate self-protection and form the basis of movement for fighting with all other weapons and when empty handed.

KNIFE- FOCUS COURSES
struggle
Focus Courses build on core skills with tactics like attacking, counter-striking, faking, trapping, footwork, quartering, struggles, disarming, takedowns, and more.

KNIFE – REVERSE HOLD
reverse
This course explores the potential advantages and disadvantages while fighting in reverse hold and how it can drastically effect your choice of tactics.

KNIFE – SPECIALTY
specialty
These courses teach how to use a wide variety of edged and pointed weapons designs including kerambits, razors, spikes, spurs, picks, and more.

MACHETE
machete
The machete offers an ideal balance of speed, power, and reach, making it one the most effective personal combat weapons, especially against multiple attackers.

IMPACT WEAPONS
impact
Impact weapons courses teach how to fight using different types of blunt items such as a rock, brick, palm-stick, short-stick, stick, bat, tire iron, and any other hand held item.

FLEXIBLE WEAPONS
Flexibles
Flexible weapons courses teach how to use different types of flexible items such as a rope, belt, necktie, T-shirt, towel, handkerchief/napkin, electrical cord, when fighting.

IMPROVISED WEAPONS
improvised
Improvised Weapons courses teach how to use virtually any hand-held item as a force-multiplier to increase the pain/injury delivered to attackers.

EMPTY HANDS
unarmed
Empty hands training is so essential to self-protection because many situations do not warrant using a weapon and because weapons are not always readily available.

KNIFE DEFENSE
knife-defense
We offer the best solutions to this tactical challenge by using efficient knife-based movements with your empty hands to strike instead of using a blade to cut.

OUTNUMBERED
outnumbered
These courses present tactics to manage fighting multiple attackers when surrounded, against a wall, in a corner, a narrow space, or when on the ground.

PISTOLCRAFT
pistolcraft
Our  pistolcraft employs blade-based actions using the pistol as a blunt weapon to parry, strike, punch, disarm, and shoot when in close quarters.

POST-FIGHT TRAINING
Post-Fight Training is essential to achieving best possible outcomes because it does little good to prevail over an attacker only to be subsequently defeated by a bystander, or because you or someone you cared about didn’t get first-aid in time, or if you end up in prison for saying the wrong thing.

CONTAINMENT
containment-200

Immediately after prevailing over an attacker(s) and securing them you must be aware of bystanders (danger, neutral, or friendly), recover fallen weapons, and tend to the general situation at hand if it is not fully resolved.

TRAUMATIC FIRST-AID
first-aid-200

This course teaches post-violence first-aid protocols with emphasis on, but not limited to, fight-related injuries like bleeding, broken bones, unconsciousness, heart attacks, and other critical aid for yourself and others.

FIRST RESPONDERS
first-responders-200

Most vital to achieving your best outcome is knowing well how to manage yourself with first responders because everything you say and do in the presence of EMT’s, hospital staff, and particularly police, could be court admissible.

SCENARIO-BASED TRAINING

Scenario Training is one of the most popular and exciting activities because it challenges an individual’s response-ability along a wide spectrum of possible threats including unarmed or armed attacks by one or more assailants, in or around your home, work, or vehicle and other private or public settings. Our training values dictate our actions be tactically sound and court defensible if we are to achieve the best possible outcome in the given circumstances.

SINGLE ATTACKER
single-unarmed-200
We prepare to face a wide range of empty-handed assaults from a single bully, mugger, drunkard, or hater, in settings likely to be encountered like bars, parking lots, stairways, hallways, and rest rooms, at private social gatherings and other public events.

TWO+ ATTACKERS
multiple-unarmed-200
A series of challenging scenarios when you are outnumbered against different types of attackers using various weapons where the best possible outcome may call for you to disengage and escape while other situations may even compel that you attack first

SINGLE ARMED ATTACKER
single-armed-200
An armed attacker is a serious threat and you will face a series of scenarios with knives, sticks, and guns that escalate from hold-up situations to more committed attacks to gain valuable experience in managing the most common form of attack.

TWO+ ARMED ATTACKERS
multiple-armed-200
We explore a series of gang attack scenarios that range from wild and unpredictable, to organized and methodical, which demand quick thinking and decisive action and provide a broad spectrum of experience to improve your tactical performance under stress.

DEFENDING DEPENDENTS
dependants-200
Defending yourself and another person(s) dependent upon you for protection can put you at an overwhelming disadvantage; a great deal of which can be nullified if you are armed with a knife and trained so you have the skill to match your will in protecting them.

VICTIM RESCUE
victim-scenario-200
To rescue another person under physical attack or being held hostage can be unpredictable so you learn to employ a range of options from choosing to ignore it, to physically engaging the attacker, and you learn not to trust the victims.

FIGHTING NEAR VEHICLES
in-around-vehicle-200
Vehicles are a big part of our lives and unsurprisingly, violence occurs in and around them quite often so you will learn tactics for anti-carjacking and road rage incidents as well as fighting in, around, and between cars in a parking lot and public garage.

HOME DEFENSE
invader-200
Are you inside or outside? Are there others inside? Do you have a weapon? Does the invader have a weapon? Is he alone or with accomplices? Does he know you are aware of him? So many scenarios to play out. And then we have home invasions…
